Sergio Marrero

Sergio Marrero currently serves as the Managing Director of Blue Ridge Labs at Robin Hood since July 2022 and is the Founder of Rebel One (RBL1), a global investor network established in October 2017 that focuses on educating future founders and investors. Marrero previously held the position of Head of the George Shultz Innovation Fund at the University of Chicago from December 2020 to June 2022, overseeing a $35 million portfolio aimed at technology transfers and supporting deep tech entrepreneurs. Additional roles include Adjunct Professor for HBCUvc, General Partner and Co-Founder of Stat Zero, and Co-Founder and CEO of Caila, which focuses on augmented intelligence. With a comprehensive background in venture capital and innovation consulting, Marrero also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University.
