Richard Frankel is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Roblox since April 2022, Richard leads API initiatives and focuses on cloud service efficiency. Prior experience includes a tenure at Google from 2011 to 2022, where Richard held the position of Staff Software Engineer, contributing to projects in NLP, structured search, and Google Fiber. As Chief Technology Officer at Track.com, Richard oversaw the company until its acquisition by FX Concepts in 2012. Richard’s academic background includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Georgetown University. Additional early career experiences include internships at NASA Ames Research Center and Microsoft, along with engineering roles at Goldman Sachs, AMD, and Quigo.
