Cosmin-Gabriel Popa

Cosmin-Gabriel Popa has diverse work experience in various technical roles. Cosmin-Gabriel is currently working at Robocorp as a Senior Software Engineer since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Macadamian as a Technical Lead - Principal Lead Developer, where they were involved in multiple projects related to an EHR application. Cosmin-Gabriel joined Macadamian in 2021 and worked until 2022.

Before Macadamian, Cosmin-Gabriel Popa worked at NTT DATA Romania as a Project Manager Technical Lead - Consultant. Here, they contributed to the development of an IoT solution. Cosmin-Gabriel led the backend software development and quality assurance team and collaborated with local and remote development teams. Cosmin-Gabriel'sresponsibilities included designing system components for the IoT mesh, developing a high-availability server-side system, and creating a custom SSH system of communication. Cosmin-Gabriel also performed code reviews, designed functional/integration tests, and implemented a CI/CD system. Cosmin-Gabriel worked at NTT DATA Romania from 2019 to 2020.

Earlier in their career, Cosmin-Gabriel Popa held the role of DevOps Architect & Team Lead at both Globant and Small Footprint, Inc. Here, they ensured the implementation and training of DevOps standards and best practices while developing training and mentorship programs related to DevOps tools and practices. Cosmin-Gabriel worked at Globant from 2018 to 2019 and at Small Footprint, Inc. from 2017 to 2018.

Furthermore, Cosmin-Gabriel Popa has prior experience at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Technical Lead for R&D and as a Senior Software Engineer from 2012 to 2017. Cosmin-Gabriel also worked at Bitdefender as a Spam Analyst from 2010 to 2012, where they led projects related to spam email filtering and automated signing.

Cosmin-Gabriel'searliest work experience was at Continental, where they worked as a Software Tester during their summer practice in 2009 and later as a Diploma Project Programmer from 2010.

- From 2015 to 2018, they attended Universitatea "Babeș-Bolyai" din Cluj-Napoca, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Film Studies from the Faculty of Theatre and Television.

- From 2010 to 2012, they studied at Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Automatic Control and Computer Engineering, specializing in Embedded Computers.

- From 2006 to 2010, they completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Automatic Control and Computer Engineering, Embedded Computers, and Computer Science, also at Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași.

- From 2002 to 2006, they attended Theoretical High School "Mihail Sadoveanu" in Pașcani, where they obtained their Baccalaureate degree with a focus on Mathematics and Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Cosmin-Gabriel Popa has obtained several certifications, including "Create A Professional Online Presence" from FutureLearn in February 2021, "How To Think And Write Like A Critic" from The School of The New York Times in February 2021, and various trading and investment courses from Udemy in 2020.
