Michael Anderson

Lead Mechanical Engineer at RoboTire

Michael Anderson has been working in the engineering field for the past 22 years. Michael began their career in 1999 as a Cavalry Scout in the US Army. In 2007, they joined Building Technology Associates as a CAD Technician/Data Collector, where they visually inspected every square foot of a flat roof, noting defects and holes to determine the remaining lifespan of the roof system. Michael then moved on to Franklin Fastener in 2011, where they created 3D parts and drawings in Inventor, while coordinating with customers to ensure correct specifications during prototyping. In 2012, they joined The Kirlin Company as a Design Engineer, where they designed 2D/3D models of components for recessed and surface mounted industrial lighting, created wiring diagrams for LED, Metal Halide, and Compact Florescent lumineers, and effectively reduced operating costs by function of design. In 2013, they joined Peak Industries Inc. as a Special Tooling Designer, where they designed, manufactured, and installed special tools and machines mostly for the automotive industry, generating installation drawings and coordinating their respective executions while working within the customer standards and specifications. In 2015, they joined Design Systems, Inc. as a Senior Project Engineer, where they designed and detailed carriers, transfers, gauges, lifts, lift assists, guarding, build up tables, frame turn-over, assembly and fixture tools, and laser scanning and registration for multiple industries, primarily automotive. Michael also led tooling design engineer, lead training coordinator, and lead design standards coordinator. Currently, they are a Lead Mechanical Engineer at RoboTire.

Michael Anderson attended Franklin High School from 1995 to 1999 and obtained their High School Diploma in English. Michael then attended ITT Technical Institute-Canton from 2004 to 2006 and obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Drafting and Design. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: 30 Hour Occupations Safety/OSHA and Registered Roof Observer/Roofing Consultants Institute.
