Rushikesh Pol

Rushikesh Pol has over 10 years of professional experience in product management and software engineering. In 2021, they joined Robots and Pencils as a Principal Product Owner, Product Owner Craft Steward, and Senior Product Owner. From 2017 to 2021, Rushikesh was a Product Manager at Valtech, where they successfully launched million-dollar web and mobile digital products across industries, increasing product adoption and lowering churn rate. In 2016, Rushikesh was an MBA Intern (Digital Product Owner) at Scotiabank Digital Factory, where they acted as a liaison between business stakeholders and digital/engineering teams. From 2011 to 2017, Rushikesh was at Persistent Systems, where they served as a Module Lead - Associate Product Owner and Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they led a development team to create a cloud-based Hadoop ecosystem (PaaS), managing the process from requirement gathering to project delivery in an agile environment. Rushikesh also managed the successful delivery of a search engine project in the big data business unit with a team of 5 developers.

Rushikesh Pol completed a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Modern Education Society's College of Engineering, Pune in 2011. Prior to that, they attended St. Vincent's High School from 2005 to 2007 and studied Science. In 2015, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Schulich School of Business - York University, specializing in Strategy & MIS. In 2017, they obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance.
