Joan McAuliffe

Joan McAuliffe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Principal II Technical Lead Operations at Roche since January 2022, Joan ensures that Roche Sequencing Solutions products adhere to Design for Quality and Manufacturability standards and collaborates with the Design Transfer Team on operations strategy. Prior to this, roles included Director of Consumables Production at Bio-Techne, where Joan enhanced manufacturing processes and maintained supply chain effectiveness, and Manager of Reagent Engineering at ProteinSimple, focusing on the transition of reagents into manufacturable products. Earlier positions included Systems Engineer at Promega, Senior Manager of Process Engineering at Caliper, and various engineering roles at Caliper Life Sciences. Joan's academic background includes a BSE in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Bioengineering from Duke University and University of Utah, respectively.
