Xiangyu Yao

Xiangyu Yao is an accomplished scientist with a strong background in molecular genetics and biochemistry, holding a PhD from Georgia State University. With experience as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at Roche from December 2016 to October 2019, Xiangyu led research projects focused on anti-tumor and immune modulation, assessing collaboration opportunities with academia and biotech. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, investigating host-pathogen interactions and malaria pathogenesis, and Postdoc Research Associate at Syracuse University, studying the microbiome in lung disease. Early research involved microbial metabolism and antibiotic resistance during graduate studies at Georgia State University and an internship at the National Institute of Biological Sciences in Beijing.
