Johan Klarin is the Director of the RIT Venture Creations Incubator at Rochester Institute of Technology. Johan has over fifteen years of experience in the business world, holding various positions in marketing, business development, and financial advising. Johan has a proven track record of developing and streamlining programs to help startups grow and succeed. Johan is passionate about helping entrepreneurs turn their innovative ideas into reality.
Johan started their career as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch. Johan then transitioned into the world of marketing and business development, holding positions with The Advisory Board Company and PURE Room. In January 2017, they became Managing Director of Viaduct, Inc. Johan held this position until August 2018 when they took on their current role as Program Development Manager with Columbia Technology Ventures. In this role, Johan is responsible for managing the Cleantech Venture Exchange (CVX) and Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) programs. Johan has successfully grown these programs 4X over the last three years. Johan is always looking for ways to improve the programs and help more startups succeed. Johan has developed relationships with global startup organizations to share innovative programs and best practices.
