Melanie Massie

Melanie Massie has worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. Melanie began their career in 1998 as Head of Talent at BET (BET Networks, a subsidiary of Viacom Inc.). In 2008, they were promoted to Vice President of Talent Relations, where they were responsible for booking A-List Talent for various shows and special events. In 2010, they founded Mel Mass Media, Inc. and served as Principal/Talent Relations Executive. In this role, they were responsible for shaping opportunities for entertainment companies at the intersection of talent. Melanie also served as Talent Producer for The DL Hughley Show, TV One from March 2019 to present. In 2020, they joined DL Hughley Uncut as Talent Producer and in 2021, they joined WHTWRKS Inc. as Talent Producer and ROCK THE BELLS as VP and Talent & Influencer Engagement.

Melanie Massie attended the University of Maryland from 1988 to 1991 and obtained a BA in Theater.
