Irene R. Delgado

Irene R. Delgado, Ph.D. has held several leadership roles in higher education institutions. Irene R. served as the Vice President for Student Success at CUNY Bronx Community College from January 2017 to November 2023. Prior to that, they were the Associate Provost & Dean of Students at SUNY Maritime College from September 2010 to October 2016. From September 2005 to August 2010, they worked as the Senior Associate Dean for Student Engagement at Mercy College. Irene is currently working as the Chief of Staff/Strategic Initiatives at Rockland Community College, starting in November 2023.

Irene R. Delgado, Ph.D. completed their educational journey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Assistant/Paralegal from Mercy University in 1990. Irene R. then pursued a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Long Island University, graduating in 1996. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science in Applied Counseling from Long Island University between 1997 and 2000. Finally, they earned their Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, concluding their educational pursuits in 2011.
