Ciaran Rooney

Ciaran Rooney is SVP of Corporate Development for Rockley Photonics. Ciaran works closely with the CEO and CFO on all strategic initiatives, including all corporate development, strategic partnerships, and key commercial and corporate relationships.

Ciaran has worked with and advised highly disruptive technology companies for over a decade as a key advisor to the executive teams of companies and has been through multiple IPOs and fundraisings, while leading corporate development and strategic initiatives. He has a unique combination of extensive experience across the emerging company lifecycle (from start-up to IPO) and strong international experience, taking the lead on transactions across Europe, USA, and Asia.

Ciaran is a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, and prior to Rockley, he advised and worked for multiple venture capital funds and disruptive technology companies on all aspects of fundraising and the disruptive technology company lifecycle. Prior to that, he was a senior associate at Cooley, based in their London office advising leading emerging companies and venture capital investors.
