Huiwen Hong

Huiwen Hong started their work experience in 2012 at Dalian University of Technology as a Java Developer, where they built and maintained a database for a startup project. In 2013, they joined Neusoft Corporation as an Android Developer, programming an android media player application and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines. Later in 2013, they returned to Dalian University of Technology as a Java Developer and Frontend Developer, implementing a collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm and designing a user interface. In 2015, they joined the University of Ottawa as a Frontend Developer, where they designed and developed the frontend part of an end-to-end system for real-time visualization on Google Maps and performed sentiment analysis of multiple SNS message posts. Lastly, in 2017, they joined Rockport Networks Inc. as a Junior Software Developer.

Huiwen Hong completed their Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Computer Science from Dalian University of Technology from 2010 to 2014. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Computer Science degree in the same field from the University of Ottawa from 2014 to 2016.
