Todd Metheny has held various roles in the past 13 years. In 2007, they were a Clerk at the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office. The following year, they became an Assistant Attorney General at the Missouri Attorney General's Office. In 2009, they moved to the Attorney General's Office in a similar role. In 2011, they were a Volunteer for the Basic Needs and Economic Opportunity Panel, as well as the Co-Founder & CEO of Passerby. In 2015, they were a Software Developer at Kipu Systems and VP Engineering at Clutch Prep. In 2020, they were a Senior Platform Engineer at Lana. In 2021, they became an AVP at Blackstone. Currently, they are the VP of Engineering at Rocksbox.

Todd Metheny obtained their Bachelor of Science in Education from Southeast Missouri State University between 2000 and 2005. Todd then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 2008. In 2010, they completed a LLM in Tax from Washington University in St. Louis.
