Johnny Armstrong

Johnny Armstrong has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Johnny started their career at VMC Labs in 2007 as a Functional Game Tester and was later promoted to the role of Functional Lead Tester. During their time there, they worked on high-end titles such as Bully, Viking, and Beijing Olympics, and led a team of up to twelve testers. In 2008, they became a Contingent European Certification Coordinator, where they were responsible for assigning test regions, scheduling compliance and functional testing, and communicating with publishers regarding the status of their titles. In 2009, Johnny joined MGS Studios as a QA Team Lead, overseeing the testing process, maintaining communication with the development team, and regressing known issues. Finally, in 2010, they joined Rocksteady Studios Ltd, initially working as a Senior QA before transitioning to various design roles, including Senior Designer, Lead City Designer, and currently, Associate Design Director. Johnny has contributed to the development of games such as Batman: Arkham Knight and has been actively involved in different aspects of game design and quality assurance throughout their career.

Johnny Armstrong attended Churchmead School from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained their G.C.S.E in English Language and Literature, Maths, and Science. From 2000 to 2002, they attended East Berkshire College, where they earned their A Levels in Sociology, English Literature, and Spanish. Finally, from 2002 to 2006, Johnny enrolled at Buckinghamshire New University, where they completed their BA Hons in Media Studies with Film and Video Production. In September 2020, they obtained a certification in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn.
