Ben Proffer

Ben is the communications lead for the Carbon-Free Electricity Program. He specializes in business models, regulations, and utility transfer finance.

Previously, Ben created the American Green podcast about regional environmental solutions in the Midwest, served as a commissioner for the Environmental Management Commission of Kansas City, and worked in the communications department at the Center for Biological Diversity. In the distant past, he also reported and wrote for travel magazines in New York City.
