Louie Costa

Louie Costa is an experienced rail operations manager currently serving as the Manager of Rail Operations at Rocky Mountaineer since July 2025 and as a Management Consultant at Railwaze Solutions LTD. since January 2025, focusing on performance improvement in rail operations, fleet management, emergency response, and logistics. Previously, Louie had an extensive career at Canadian Pacific Railway from June 1986 to June 2025, holding roles such as Manager Field Execution - Rail Engineering, Chief of Train Dispatching/Operations Manager, and Locomotive Engineer/Conductor/Trainman. Contributions included optimizing logistics and rail operations and liaising between operations and engineering. Louie also served as a volunteer firefighter with Terrace Bay Fire Department from 2000 to 2005, and co-managed Garrity’s Restaurant & Lounge earlier in the career, handling various management aspects. Louie holds certifications from the Ontario Fire College between 2000 and 2003.
