Kristine Nichols has extensive work experience in the field of agriculture and soil microbiology. Kristine began their career in 2003 at USDA-ARS as a Soil Microbiologist. In 2014, they joined Rodale Institute as the Chief Scientist. Throughout their career, they have focused on advancing scientific knowledge and understanding in their field.
Kristine Nichols has a strong educational background in the field of soil science, agronomy, and environmental microbiology. Kristine completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Soil Science and Agronomy, General from the University of Maryland during the years 2000 to 2003. Prior to their doctoral studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Microbiology at West Virginia University from 1996 to 1999. To lay the foundation for their graduate studies, Kristine earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Minnesota between 1990 and 1995, majoring in Plant Biology, Genetics, and Cell Biology.
