John Schmelzle

John Schmelzle serves as Commissioner for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, representing Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders in initiatives aimed at job and economic growth since June 2023. As Principal of Schmelzle & Associates, INC. since May 2002, John has a proven track record in real estate development, investment, and asset management, overseeing projects from land acquisition to the sale of completed developments. Additionally, John has held the position of Chairman of the City of Rogers Planning Commission since May 2017, directing strategic growth initiatives and development code changes. Prior roles include Loan Workout Specialist at Kingston Management Services and Director of Acquisitions at Realsource Equity Services. John began a career in investment real estate as a Senior Advisor at Berkadia. John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance-Real Estate from Western Michigan University.
