Lauren Weiss

Lauren Weiss is currently a Social Media Specialist at ROK Financial. Lauren was previously a Producer at CNYCentral from March 2017 to September 2019. In this role, Lauren oversaw the content, production and distribution of various newscasts. Lauren led a team of dedicated hard working professionals to put on a creative and informative show 5 days a week. Some of their duties included writing news stories, selecting footage to include in broadcasts and reviewing sound bites, coordinating various live shots, producing content for social media and CNYCentral's website.

Prior to their role at CNYCentral, Lauren was an Associate Producer at News 12 Long Island from June 2016 to March 2017. In this role, they assisted in the development and production of newscasts by writing and formatting scripts. Along with that, they coordinated with the graphics department, assignment desk, field crews and other colleagues.As a production assistant, they assisted the producer in all aspects of newscasts, research and pull file video for reporters and producers to use for the newscast.

Before their career in news broadcasting, Lauren was a Production Intern at The Rachael Ray Show from May 2015 to August 2015.

Lauren Weiss completed a Bachelor of Science at State University of New York College at Plattsburgh in TV/Video Production and Broadcast Journalism.
