Heather Rutherford

Heather Rutherford possesses extensive experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as Assistant Controller and Director of Accounting at the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington since February 2022. Previous roles include Senior Accountant at Armed Services YMCA National Headquarters, Manager of Cash Receipts and Accounts Receivable at the American Psychological Association, and Senior Manager of Accounts Payable and Travel & Expenses at National Geographic Society. Heather has also held positions such as Manager of Cash Operations and Senior Revenue Analyst at National Geographic Society, Senior Accountant at EDMC, and Staff Accountant at Maxim Crane Works, LP. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Point Park University.
