Aditya Bhagat

Battery Systems Engineer at Romeo Power

Aditya Bhagat has a diverse and extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Aditya started their career as an Intern at Tata Motors, where they focused on reducing assembly time for the Flywheel assembly on CRDi engine line. Aditya then moved on to Team Ojas (FSAE Electric), where they worked as a Transmission Engineer, designing the electric vehicle propulsion system and developing the transmission system from scratch.

After that, Aditya joined Escorts Limited as an Assistant Manager, where they worked on transmission design and development. Aditya successfully benchmarked supplier gearbox and designed a system for in-house manufacturing, significantly reducing costs.

Aditya later joined Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research, where they held various roles. As a Chief Vehicle Engineer for Deep Orange 11 project, they led a team of 31 to develop and prototype a sustainable mobility solution for 2035. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, they completed the project in just 1.5 years. Aditya also served as a Powertrain Controls Engineer for the same project, modeling hybrid electric vehicles and optimizing powertrain performance.

Most recently, Aditya worked at Romeo Power Technology as a Battery Systems Engineer. In this role, they coordinated with vehicle OEMs and subsystems to develop battery requirements and component specifications. Aditya also conducted tests to improve the safety and performance of the Battery Management System (BMS).

Throughout their career, Aditya has demonstrated expertise in vehicle design, powertrain controls, transmission systems, and battery technology. Aditya has a strong background in prototyping, simulation, and system integration.

Aditya Bhagat received their Master's degree in Automotive Engineering Technology from Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research between 2018 and 2020. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2016.
