Brenda Romero

Brenda Romero is a highly accomplished game designer and executive with extensive experience in the gaming industry. As the Chief Executive Officer and Game Director of Romero Games Ltd. since August 2014, Brenda developed and executed successful corporate strategies, leading to the release of five projects within five years across multiple platforms. Prior to this, Brenda founded Loot Drop, where extensive efforts were made in securing funding and crafting game pitches. Academic roles include serving as Program Director for the Masters in Games and Playable Media at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where Brenda developed curricula and taught diverse game design topics. Previous positions include creative and leadership roles at notable companies such as 6waves Lolapps Inc., Slide, and Atari Interactive, contributing to award-winning titles like Wizardry 8. Brenda’s current educational pursuits include a PhD in English Language and Literature at Trinity College Dublin and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Galway.
