Robert Ratz

VP of Electrical Engineering at Rondo Energy

Robert has more than two decades of experience bringing scalable innovations to life for industrial, automotive and military applications in North America, Europe and Asia. He is an expert in the design and deployment of power conversion, electronics hardware and advanced control systems, guiding teams through process development, planning and compliance. Prior to joining Rondo Energy, he led the engineering of novel gallium nitride (GaN) inverter and energy storage technologies with companies including SolPad and Ricardo, where he served customers like General Motors, BMW, Daimler and McLaren. Robert holds multiple patents around power conversion, battery management systems and automotive electronic control units. He earned a doctorate in Power Electronics from Czech Technical University in Prague and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia.
