Katarina Kozuchowska Duplessy has had extensive work experience in various financial and administrative roles. Katarina began their career as a community and campaigns organizer at UNITE HERE in 1992. From 1997 to 2002, they served as the Deputy Director at LEAD International, where they managed administration, operations, and personnel. Katarina then worked at Common Cents as the Director of Finance and Operations from 2002 to 2004.
In 2004, Katarina joined the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS as the CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration. During their time there, they led the finance, HR, IT, and administration teams and played a key role in the organization's merger with TPAA. Katarina also managed financial matters, including budgets, grants, and investments, and led fundraising efforts with various donors.
Katarina went on to work at Riverkeeper from 2008 to 2011 as the COO and CFO. In this role, they managed all finance functions and was responsible for the organization's fiscal health. Katarina also directed grants and contracts management, fundraising efforts, IT matters, and human resources.
From 2011 to 2014, Katarina served as the COO and CFO at the Working Families Party. In this position, they had overall responsibility for the party's financial operations.
Most recently, Katarina has been working at the Roosevelt Institute as the CFO since 2014. In this role, they oversee the organization's financial systems and processes, manages the work of various committees, collaborates with the development team for fundraising, prepares financial reports, and plays a key role in long-term business planning.
Throughout their career, Katarina has demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, fundraising, and organizational leadership. Their experience spans multiple sectors, including non-profit organizations and health-focused international organizations.
Katarina Kozuchowska Duplessy has a diverse education history with a focus on international relations, economics, public administration, psychology, and accounting. Katarina obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Psychology and International Relations from The City University of New York between 1991 and 1992. Katarina then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations and Affairs, Economics, and Public Administration from Syracuse University - Maxwell School from 1993 to 1995. In 2008, Katarina furthered their education by earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accountancy from the Zicklin School of Business, a program they completed in 2009.
