Andreas Mitchell, MD, MPP, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, starting August 2024. Prior to this role, Andreas worked as a Primary Care Physician at Roots Community Health Center from August 2022 to August 2024 and held the position of Internal Medicine Chief Resident at UCSF from June 2018 to October 2022. Andreas also served as Regional Vice President for Northern California with CIR-SEIU from October 2020 to October 2022. Andreas's earlier experiences include peer support as a Resident Advisor at Washington University in St. Louis, internships focused on municipal partnerships and laboratory research at esteemed institutions, and a strong educational background with degrees from Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
