David Ault

David Ault is a highly experienced legal counsel specializing in health care regulation, compliance, and litigation, currently serving at Ropes & Gray LLP since March 2022. With a robust background that includes leadership roles at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, David has a deep understanding of health insurance regulatory challenges, particularly regarding the transition to value-based payment models under the Affordable Care Act. Prior to his current position, David held roles as counsel at Faegre Drinker and Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, in addition to serving as a director and senior advisor at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. David's legal career began with the U.S. Department of Justice and has evolved through various positions within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. David holds a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology-Psychology from Middlebury College.
