Sergio Neves

Sergio Neves has a diverse work experience primarily in the company Roquette. Sergio started their career in 1991 at Hoechst Pharma as a Responsavel Contrôlo Qualidade. In 1998, they joined Roquette as a Pharmaceutical Technical Sales and Business Development Manager. Sergio then took on the role of Area Sales Manager and Key Account Manager in the Pharma and Cosmetics Business Unit. In 2004, they became the Director of Marketing and Development and later the Director of the Business Unit. In 2010, they transitioned to the Roquette Group as the VP Market Unit Pharma & Health. Sergio returned to Roquette in 2012 as the Head of Nutrition and Health R&D. Over the years, they held various leadership positions including Global Director of Microalgae Business Line and Head of Open Innovation. In 2021, Neves became the Head of Plant Protein Research at Roquette.

Sergio Neves earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Warwick, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Universidade de Coimbra, where they obtained a PharmD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from 1986 to 1992. During the same period, they also obtained a Licenciatura Ciencias Farmaceuticas degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Universidade de Coimbra.
