Michelle Wynn

Michelle Wynn is a highly skilled software engineer with extensive experience in bioinformatics and computational biology. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at ROSALIND since April 2024, Michelle previously held the role of Engineering Lead for a biotech project at X, the moonshot factory from April 2022 to April 2024. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Software Engineer at Zymergen, Inc. from April 2016 to March 2022, and a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan from 2013 to 2016, where work focused on metabolic vulnerabilities in breast cancer cells and the development of predictive tools for protein signaling networks. Earlier career highlights include a Software Engineer Intern position at Google in 2007 and a Senior Consultant role at CSC from 2000 to 2006, where contributions involved implementing complex systems and supporting medical device testing. Michelle holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Michigan and a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics from Indiana University Bloomington.
