Julie Hoisington

Julie Hoisington, MLS, RHIA, CCS, serves as the Dean of Health Sciences and Director of the Health Information Management Program at Rose State College since January 2013 and holds a professorship there. From July 2019 to June 2021, Julie served as President of OkHIMA and subsequently took on the role of Director of Advocacy for the organization from July 2024 to July 2025. Previous experience includes positions as Director of Health Information and Clinical Documentation Specialist at Midwest Regional Medical Center, LLC, and as a CDI Specialist/Inpatient Coder at OU Medical Center. Currently, Julie is pursuing a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration at Oklahoma State University and holds a Master of Legal Studies in Healthcare Law from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information/Medical Records Technology.
