Catherine Seale

Catherine Seale is an experienced professional in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science, currently serving as the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Rosenxt Group since June 2025. Additionally, Catherine holds the position of Board Trustee and Data Scientist at MapAction since October 2021. Previous roles include VP of Data and AI and Head of Data and Artificial Intelligence at Beam (formerly Rovco/Vaarst) and Vaarst from February 2022 to October 2025 and August 2024 respectively, as well as Principal and Senior Data Scientist at the UK Hydrographic Office from November 2017 to February 2022. Catherine began a career as a Remote Sensing Systems Developer at the UK Ministry of Defence from September 2015 to October 2017 and participated in the Data Science Accelerator Programme through the Cabinet Office in early 2017. In earlier experience, Catherine was a Principal GIS Specialist at Groundsure from January to September 2015. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Data Science from the University of Exeter (2017-2020) and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Sussex (2008-2011).
