Safwan abu Risheh

Safwan Abu Risheh has an extensive work experience in the hotel industry. Safwan started as the Chief Accountant at Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel & Towers in 1998 and was responsible for overseeing various finance functions. Safwan then moved on to Four Seasons Hotel Amman as the Director of Finance, where they played a key role in the pre-opening and post-opening stages and was involved in all decisions related to operations, sales, marketing, and human resources. In 2008, they joined Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver as the Director of Finance and implemented a contingency plan to manage the recession's impact on the hotel industry. Safwan later joined Four Seasons Hotel Beirut and Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver in similar roles, contributing to the successful opening and financial performance of both hotels. In 2010, they joined Rosewood Hotel Georgia Vancouver as the Director of Finance and implemented policies and procedures in preparation for the hotel's opening. Safwan then progressed to the role of Regional Director of Finance for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, where they led the strategic direction of the brand across North America, Mexico, and Europe. Currently, Safwan serves as the Managing Director of Rosewood Hotel Georgia and Corporate Director of Finance, Operations for the Rosewood Hotel Group. In these roles, they are responsible for developing and executing business strategies to achieve the objectives and goals of the board and shareholders. Safwan has successfully exceeded annual budget and financial targets while orchestrating marketing campaigns that have increased hotel visibility and revenue growth.

Safwan Abu Risheh is currently pursuing a degree in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management at Cornell University, which is expected to be completed in 2023. Safwan has also completed an Executive Leadership program at Cornell University. Additionally, Safwan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Damascus University.
