Ildar Shaykhutdinov has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Ildar started their career as an assistant at NPF in 1998. Ildar then worked as a Production Engineer at Saratov Scientific Research & Development Centre, where they were responsible for scientific support and well development. Shaykhutdinov joined TNK-BP Management in 2003 and held various roles, including Chief Specialist and Subsurface Team Leader. Ildar was involved in projects in different regions and focused on production optimization and quality control. In 2012, they became the Executive Director of Tagulskoye and Russko-Rechenskoye oil projects and formulated project strategies. Shaykhutdinov then worked at Rosneft as a President Advisor, where they developed project strategies and direction. Ildar also worked as the VP Upstream at CJSC "RusGasDobycha," leading upstream projects and determining execution options. Shaykhutdinov became a self-employed contractor in 2015, providing consulting services for oil and gas projects execution. Ildar joined Rosneft in 2017 as a Project Director, responsible for international project development. Their role involved project assessment, detailed design, negotiations, and project execution.

Ildar Shaykhutdinov attended School N 3 in Bavly, Tatarstan from 1986 to 1996. After completing their secondary education, they went on to study at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) from 1996 to 2002. At the university, they obtained a Master's degree in Production Engineering, another Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, and a third Master's degree without specifying a field of study.
