Roland Dawson has extensive experience in project management and engineering within the oil and gas industry. Roland started their career in 1991 as a Project Engineer at BP Exploration, where they worked until 1996. Roland then joined BP Exploration again in 1998 as a Project Manager, focusing on engineering and commissioning. In 2003, they became the Commissioning Manager for the Shah Deniz Project at BP Azerbaijan, overseeing multiple construction and commissioning activities. Roland then moved to BP Vietnam in 2005, where they held various roles, including Delivery Manager for the Dinh Co Gas Terminal Expansion and Engineering Manager for the NCS Phase II Compression project. In 2013, they joined BP as a Project Manager Engineering in Aberdeen and later worked as a Project Mentor at Chevron in Bangladesh starting in 2014. Since 2016, Roland has been working as a Project Manager at Rosneft, leading the development of a new gas field in offshore Vietnam.

Roland Dawson attended Liverpool John Moores University from 1974 to 1978, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
