Daniel Formica

Daniel Formica has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Daniel currently works as a Technical Solutions Manager at Ross Video since June 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Professional Services at Primestream from April 2007 to June 2021. In this role, they were responsible for project configuration and engineering, system implementations, customer support, and quality control & testing. Daniel also contributed to the design and implementation of engineering and support infrastructures within the organization to streamline installation and configuration processes. Daniel played a key role in defining software development and release cycles, improving product quality and release intervals.

Before Primestream, Daniel worked at Telefónica from November 2006 to April 2007 as a Senior Information Technology Architect. Daniel facilitated technology discussions with Telefonica's customers and worked with the engineering, networking, and security teams to identify emerging technologies and their alignment with Sony's business needs. Daniel also served as a Sr. Systems Engineer & Storage Administrator, leading a team of UNIX engineers responsible for maintaining day-to-day operations.

Earlier in their career, Daniel was employed at Terra Networks from November 2001 to April 2003. Daniel initially worked as a Systems Engineer & Storage Administrator, providing support to Terra Networks branches in Latin America. Daniel managed SAN & NAS environments and administered EMC storage systems and Oracle databases. Later, they took on the role of IT Manager, leading IT operations and engineering for Argentina and Uruguay. Daniel developed a new organizational model and established procedures for 24/7 operations. Daniel also worked as a Project Manager, overseeing the implementation and operations of Terra Network's web portal.

Daniel Formica has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the Universidad del Salvador, with a focus on Information Technology. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2020 and as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in August 2019.
