Lead Software Engineer at Ross Video

Steve Poynter has had a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Steve began their career at Division Ltd in 1995 as a Virtual Reality Programmer and worked there until 1998. From 1998 to 2000, they worked at Ordnance Survey as a Team Leader. In 2000, they joined BBC as a Senior Software Engineer in the Computer Graphics Workshop. Steve worked at BBC until 2007. After that, they joined Ericsson as a Lead Software Engineer, specifically working on the Piero virtual graphics project. Steve was with Ericsson for over a decade, until 2019. Currently, they are employed as a Lead Software Engineer at Ross Video, a position they have held since April 2019.

Steve Poynter attended the University of Sussex from 1989 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Following that, they enrolled at Middlesex University in 1993 for one year, completing a Master of Science degree in Computer Graphics in 1994.
