Sumer Bereket has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Sumer has held various roles, starting as a Front Desk Manager at Barbarossa Hotel & Club in 1999. Sumer then worked in different hotels, including Mia Resorts Pine Park, Magic Life Marmaris, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., where they gained experience in front office operations. In 2010, they joined Dedemen Hotel & Convention Center as a Night Manager before moving to Jumeirah Group / Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts in the same position. Sumer also worked as a Night Manager at The Meydan Hotels. In 2012, Sumer joined Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC and held several positions, including Assistant Director of Front Office, Director of Front Office, and currently, Corporate Director of Front Office Operations.

Sumer Bereket completed a Diploma of Education in Tourism and Travel Services Management at Mersin University from 1999 to 2001. Following that, Sumer attended Anadolu University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a degree in Economics and Business Administration with a field of study in Economics. They also obtained additional certifications, including a Certified Hotel General Manager from the International Hospitality Institute and a Hotel Revenue Management certification from Cornell University, both completed in 2023.
