Kwame Agyei Frimpong has a diverse work experience in academia and research. Kwame Agyei is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Cape Coast since February 2018. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Lecturer at the same institution. Kwame Agyei also served as the President of the African Association for Precision Agriculture starting from May 2020. In terms of research, they worked as a Research Fellow at Rothamsted Research from June 2018 onwards. Kwame Agyei also held research positions at Ruhr University Bochum in 2017 and OARDC, Ohio State University in 2014. Earlier in their career, they started as a Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast in November 2002 and continued until April 2011, with a gap from 2002 to 2008.
Kwame Agyei Frimpong began their education in 1985 at Swedru Secondary School, where they obtained their GCE A Level in Science. From 1988 to 1992, they attended Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. Following this, from 1999 to 2001, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Physical Land Resources at Ghent University. In 2006, they enrolled at the University of Aberdeen and completed their Ph.D. in Soil Science in 2010. Most recently, from 2021 to 2022, they attended the University of Mohammed VI Polytechnic and obtained an Executive MSc degree in Precision Agriculture.
