David Atkinson

David Atkinson is a seasoned football professional with extensive experience in coaching and development. Currently serving as the Football and Coach Development Officer for Rotherham United Community Trust since October 2024, Atkinson has also been a Tutor for The Football Association since January 2019. Additionally, Atkinson holds multiple roles at Rotherham United Football Club, including FP Academy Coach, Lead Foundation Phase Coach, and Football Development Coordinator since February 2015. Atkinson's coaching background includes a position as a Football Coach at Brazilian Soccer Schools, where duties involved training children in Futebol de Salao, and a casual coaching role with Sheffield and Hallamshire FA. Atkinson earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Sport Development and Coaching from Sheffield Hallam University between 2007 and 2010.
