Eric Folks

Assistant Director Instructional Technology at Round Rock ISD

First and foremost, I have three loving, scrappy boys (22, 20, 13) and an amazing, supportive wife of twenty-two years, who is also a passionate educator (currently serving as a Coordinator of Professional and Personalized Learning).

After eight years teaching English at the secondary level in Canyon, TX, in the fall of 2010, I had the great opportunity to move to Lampasas, TX and become Lampasas I.S.D.'s first-ever, Instructional Technology Coordinator.

The culmination of a multi-year transformation effort was a district-wide, 1:1 technology initiative for grades 5-12 that began in the 2015-2016 school year.

That same year, I was honored to be given the great task of leading this effort under the new title of Mobile Learning Specialist.

Two years later, in 2017, I had an extraordinary opportunity to join Round Rock ISD as an Assistant Director of Instructional Technology. Together with another Assistant Director and the Director of Instructional Technology, I have the great privilege of working with and supporting an incredible team of 60 Instructional Technology Specialists, who support and serve 56 campuses, approximately 6100 staff, and 48,000 students.
