Tara Hastings

Tara Hastings (she/her) has a diverse range of experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Tara'smost recent position was as the Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Rover.com, a role they have held since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Inclusion & Diversity Lead at Avalara from January 2020 to November 2020.

Tara also has experience in the agricultural industry, having served as the Chief Innovation & Inclusion Officer at Dairy Farmers of Washington from January 2019 to January 2020.

Before their time in the agricultural sector, Tara was a Senior Consultant at Jennifer Brown Consulting from August 2018 to February 2019.

Tara has also held significant roles at large corporations such as Starbucks, where they served as the Senior Manager of Global Inclusion & Diversity from September 2015 to June 2018, and Bank of the West, where they held various positions including VP, Diversity & Inclusion Manager from December 2013 to September 2015.

Other experiences include working as the AVP, Diversity & Inclusion Manager at PNC Financial Services Group from February 2010 to November 2011, and various roles at WaMu and Nordstrom, where they focused on diversity and inclusion initiatives. Tara has also worked as a Diversity & Inclusion Consultant and WA/AK Diversity Affairs Specialist during their early career.

Tara Hastings holds a Certification in Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner from Cornell University, earned during the academic year 2004-2005. Tara also received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Wyoming, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998. In terms of additional certifications, Tara is a CQ Fellow through the Society of CQ Fellows, and they have a certification as a Cultural Intelligence & Unconscious Bias Facilitator from the Cultural Intelligence Center. Tara also holds a certification as a Cornell Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner from the Cornell University ILR School.
