Arif Merchant

Arif Merchant has extensive experience in the financial services sector, serving in key leadership roles at RBC from December 2019 to March 2025, including Vice President of Operations and Strategy, Senior Director of Consumer Banking, and Senior Director of Banking Products. Prior to RBC, Arif held the position of Vice President at MasterCard and worked as a Management Consultant at Deloitte, advising Canadian banks and payment organizations on strategy and implementation. Early career experience includes a role as a Summer Associate at the Richard Ivey School of Business, contributing to the business strategy for its MBA program. Arif holds an MBA in Financial Analysis and Business Case Preparation from Ivey Business School and completed a course in Digital Business Strategy at MIT Sloan School of Management in 2023.
