Dan McCarthy

Dan McCarthy has extensive experience in logistics, health and safety, and sustainability, currently serving as the Logistics Manager and Health and Safety & Sustainability Coordinator for Horticulture at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew since June 2009. Responsibilities include management of risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and coordinating various aspects of health and safety within horticulture. Prior to this, Dan worked at British Gas as a Gas Engineer and at British Telecom as a Customer Service Engineer, gaining valuable skills in customer service and technical support. Dan's career began as an Environmental Analyst at the Laboratory of the Government Chemist, focusing on environmental sampling and analysis. Currently pursuing a Level 4 qualification in Open Windrow Composting, Dan's educational background includes attendance at Grey Court School and St Richards & St Andrews.
