Sir Bill Thomas

Sir Bill Thomas currently serves as Honorary Captain in the Royal Naval Reserve and Vice Patron of the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity. Since December 2016, Sir Bill has held the position of Chairman at Spirent Communications and Node4 Ltd, and previously served as an Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at The Co-operative Bank plc until October 2023. Additional roles include membership on the International Advisory Board for Mandiant until April 2023 and Co-proprietorship of Hopton Estates until February 2023. Sir Bill has an extensive background in leadership, having chaired the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity from July 2015 to June 2021 and served as Chairman of Clarkson Plc from February 2019 to March 2022. Academically, Sir Bill earned an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and holds degrees from Brunel University and the University of Leeds in digital systems and mathematics, respectively.
