Derek Humphry

Derek Humphry has held various finance and executive roles throughout their career. Derek is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer for Karora Resources since May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer for Dacian Gold Limited from October 2020 to May 2023. From February 2018 to September 2020, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for Nusantara Resources Limited. Before that, they were the Chief Financial Officer of Brockman Mining Australia Pty Ltd, a dual-listed iron ore exploration and development company. Derek served in this role from August 2009 to October 2017. Derek also has experience as the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for Energy and Minerals Australia Limited from August 2008 to July 2009. From October 2004 to April 2008, they held the same positions at Nustar Mining Limited, an ASX and TSX listed gold mining company. Prior to that, they worked as the Financial Controller for LionOre Mining Australia Pty Ltd from July 2003 to September 2004 and as the Financial Controller for St Barbara Limited from September 2001 to July 2003. Derek's earlier experience includes working as the Finance Manager/Company Secretary for GMA Garnet Pty Ltd from October 1999 to September 2001 and as the Finance Manager for Boral from October 1994 to October 1999.

Derek Humphry began their education at Christ Church Grammar School in 1981 and completed their studies in 1985. Derek then pursued a degree in Commerce and Economics at Murdoch University from 1987 to 1989.
