Jessie Jakumeit

Jessie Jakumeit serves as an Indigenous Knowledge Resource Teacher at the Royal Ontario Museum since March 2018, where responsibilities include leading guided visits for Kindergarten to Grade 12 school groups and facilitating hands-on labs and maker activities. In addition, Jessie has been a Children and Youth Course Instructor at the Art Gallery of Ontario since September 2017, conducting art courses that cover various techniques and media. Experience also includes serving as an Artist Instructor at Latcham Gallery and a Visual Arts Instructor at CMA School of Music and Art, along with a brief role as a Public Program Assistant at the Royal BC Museum in 2011. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria.
