Matthew Taylor, CGCS, has a diverse work experience in the golf industry. Matthew started their career in 1993 as an Assistant Golf Course Manager at Collier's Reserve Country Club. After three years, they moved to Bonita Bay Club - East Courses, where they served as the Director of Golf Course Operations for four years. In 2000, they joined Royal Poinciana Golf Club, taking on the roles of Director of Golf Course Operations and Golf Course Superintendent. Throughout their career, Matthew Taylor has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in managing and maintaining golf courses.

From 2014 to 2017, they attended the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, General.

From 1990 to 1993, they studied at Lake City Community College, obtaining an Associate of Science degree in Golf Course Operation and Grounds Management.

In addition to their academic achievements, Matthew Taylor has obtained various certifications. In May 2019, they became a Certified Pest Control Operator - Lawn and Ornamental, granted by the State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. In August 2017, they acquired the certification for Best Management Practices for the Enhancement of Water Quality on Florida Golf Courses, issued by the Florida Chapter of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. In May 2015, they earned the Commercial Pesticide Applicator certification from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Furthermore, in July 2014, they completed the Certified Instructor Green Industries Best Management Practices course offered by UF/IFAS. Lastly, in March 2005, they became a Certified Golf Course Superintendent through the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
