Gwen Thompson Hill

Gwen Thompson Hill is a Senior Program Analyst at SSHRC-CRSH since October 2023 and has been the Manager of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Research at Royal Roads University since May 2012. In this role, Gwen advances initiatives that promote an inclusive environment within the university while managing relationships to strengthen EDI in the Canadian post-secondary research landscape. Gwen has also served as Co-Lead of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Capacity Building Project, funded by various Canadian research organizations, and as Vice Chair of the Anti-Racism Task Force, where efforts included the development of an Anti-Racism Action Plan. Additionally, Gwen is a Course Facilitator for the Canadian Association of Research Administrators, focusing on EDI training since 2016. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Program Analyst at NSERC and as Senior IMAC Coordinator at IBM Global Services. Gwen holds a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies in Intergenerational Communication from Royal Roads University.
