Manuel Kernen

Manuel Kernen is a Doctoral Researcher specializing in Education and International Development at the University of Cambridge, where research focuses on menstrual health and hygiene education in rural Tanzania. With a background in various educational roles, Kernen co-founded the Gender Respect Project, developed culturally sensitive curricula, and oversaw significant project expansions. Experience includes serving as a Director at Cambridge Development Initiative and a Research Consultant for EdTech Hub, alongside mentoring master's students and supporting research in Tanzania. Kernen holds a PhD in Health Education and International Development from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics, and dual BAs in Peace and Conflict Studies and Politics from the University of California institutions.
