Lisa Weighton

Lisa Weighton currently serves as a Senior Communications Officer in Digital Experience at Royal Roads University, where responsibilities have included acting as Communications Manager and Communications Officer since November 2017. Previously, Weighton held the position of Communications Advisor for the Uniterra Program at World University Service of Canada (WUSC - EUMC) from November 2016 to August 2017. Experience also includes roles as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Consultant and Program, Research and Documentation Officer at Farm Radio International. Weighton's journalism background includes reporting for Nation Media Group and Black Press, with notable achievements such as winning the Ma Murray Community Newspaper award. Education includes a Master’s in International Development and Global Studies from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Journalism Honours from the University of King's College.
