Andrew Garrett currently serves as the President of the Royal Statistical Society and is a member of the Research Accreditation Panel at the UK Statistics Authority, overseeing the accreditation of research projects in alignment with the Digital Economy Act 2017. With extensive experience in clinical analysis and global scientific operations, Andrew holds the position of EVP Global Scientific Operations at ICON plc, responsible for various service lines including Biostatistics and Decentralised Clinical Trials. Andrew's prior roles include various leadership positions at the Royal Statistical Society and directorship of The Pi Factori Ltd, a consultancy specializing in statistical and data science solutions. Andrew has also contributed to the Administrative Data Research Network and held significant positions at Quintiles, among other organizations. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Medical Statistics from Newcastle University and a PhD in Statistics from The Open University.
